Emotional Freedom Technique

What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as 'tapping', may be applied to any issue that is preventing you from achieving a more fulfilled life. A tapping and talking technique that can also be described as energy psychology.


The technique utilises tapping on specific acupressure points situated along the body's meridian energy pathways while simultaneously concentrating on various aspects of the presenting issue. The process of tapping and talking can help release energy blocks from suppressed trauma and emotions, restoring balance and energy flow.


Tapping specific acupressure points has a psychological calming effect on our nervous system, soothing the stress signals to our brain, de-escalating any flight or fright responses, enabling us to self-regulate our emotions

What happens in an EFT session?

After learning about your bothersome problem and any concerns you may have during the initial consultation, we will begin each session with a brief review before proceeding with the tapping process. I am committed to providing a safe, secure and supportive environment, serving as a guide throughout your EFT journey as you travel at your own individual pace. I believe we all have the resources to resolve our own problems and ultimately I will help you to learn this self-help tool to enable you to continue practice, applying EFT independently, as and when needed.


Simply find a quiet, comfortable spot free of distractions to relax and focus on your EFT session, beginning your journey to heal emotional wounds, fears, or self-limiting beliefs. Follow along as I guide you through tapping on a sequence of acupressure points, so you can familiarise the tapping process. Together, we’ll use EFT’s gentle method to address traumatic memories, focusing on resolving issues with minimal emotional discomfort and without causing further distress. By reprogramming your thoughts about certain events and memories that have had a profound effect on you, you'll start to observe some shifts in how you perceive your problems and challenges. You can make significant changes to replace negative self-talk with positive, empowering thoughts.


Discovering and identifying core issues and underlying root causes helps us understand how they contribute to unwanted self-defeating thoughts that hold us back. Letting go of these stuck thoughts and patterns of behaviours, can transform your life, bringing peace and contentment. With EFT as a self-tool, you can better manage emotions and handle challenges calmly and confidently. By working together, we can pinpoint and address the factors that restrict us from realising our full potential and living your most authentic life. Through understanding, growth, and change, we can build stronger relationships with those who matter most—and, even more importantly, with ourselves.

How many sessions will i need?

Everyone is different and we are all on our own individual unique journey. 

One session alone can bring about some shifts and changes, however to discover and overcome core complex issues, more sessions will be required. 

The sessions are approximately 60-75 minutes
